Eleventh Annual Summer Gala, Celebrating a New Launch, Sponsored by Lexus - July 12th, 2008

The Eleventh Annual Summer Gala sponsored by Lexus returns to IYRS on Saturday, July 12. Restoration Hall will once again be converted for an elegant evening at the school, and the Gala will crown an entire weekend of festivity.

This year, there is much to celebrate: the theme of the Gala, "A New Launch," celebrates the convergence of IYRS and the Museum of Yachting. The evening will include a live and silent auction, an elegant sit-down dinner, and after-dinner dancing.  

 
Gala co-chairs Joe Dockery and Carol O'Malley return again this year after chairing last year's event, which was a record-breaking success. With support from title sponsor Lexus; from platinum sponsors Castello delle Regine, Conde Nast Publications, Prestige Lexus of Ramsey, and Sentient Jet Membership; and many ardent supporters of the school, a total of $635,000 was raised for IYRS educational programs.  This year, proceeds from the Gala will go to support programs at both IYRS and the Museum of Yachting.

The weekend of July 11 - 13 includes a full calendar of festivities. A fabulous array of auction items, including exotic trips, exclusive sails, and custom art have been graciously donated.  Check out the Live Auction listings, the Collectors' Gallery, and the Silent Auction items.
